Impact
Something that grabs you attention
This is a photo of someone editing computer program in a dark room.
Brightest, Boldest, Most Favorably Placed
The object in the foreground in the best location that catches your eye.
This is a photo of three happy meal avenger toys, of which Groot is the most favorably placed.
Balance
An image that is balanced on both sides
This is a photo os two evenly balances posters.
Rule of Thirds
Following the third lines and putting the subject on the line.
This is a photo of a plant in the bathroom.
Framing
This is when foreground elemants frame background elements
This is a frame, framing a frame, framing a frame.....
KISS
Keep it Simple, Stupid
This is a photo of a dollar that has been taped to my door for a year.
Room for Logical Movement
This object should be able to logically have space to move aross the screen
This is a photo of dice that could move further
Leading Lines
Lines that lead the eye to a focal point of the image
This is a photo at the end of the Metro into the distance
Cropping
This is when a photo is cropped to hone in on the subject matter
This is a photo of a room, focused in on a pair of Vans.
Merger
When items in the photo blend together becuause of the angle of the photo.
This is a reverse merger where the tree is made to look like it is purposfully coming out of the subject's head.
